Wild About Maths offers children opportunities to practise a range of age-appropriate mathematical skills, all aligned with the National Curriculum/Curriculum for Excellence – and explore the maths of the natural world! And it’s been designed in such a way as to accommodate and the whole of up to a two-form entry school in a single day.

The Wild About Maths teaching resource pack includes: 

  • Opening film which sets the day in context and introduces children to Hilde Beest 
  • Power Point challenge activity for each primary year group from nursery – year 6 / P1-P7 
  • Follow up maths worksheets
  • Hilde’s Headscratchers: quickfire, whole-class activities
